The International Labour Organization (ILO) has estimated a loss of 400 million full-time jobs because of the pandemic caused by Novel corona virus. It will take some time for all these people who have lost their jobs to find a new job or generate another stream of revenue.

Everyone knows that job loss not only equates to financial problems but is also emotional racking. Both these problems have a very large impact on one’s life and behavior. You may not be in the same mental state of well being as you used to be…..and that’s because of the obvious reasons. You are at your wits’ end (having a tough time).

I know that it’s easier said than done…but I would still tell you that ‘ this is not the end of the world; . You will have a better job sooner or later, only thing is you can’t just give up and surrender to your situation. You have to stick through this rough time.

Life is precious. You need to develop a positive attitude towards life in this adverse situation. You know that you are not the only one who has been hit by this problem, everyone’s sailing in the same boat.It’s very important that you stay engaged with something in your life to keep negative thoughts away from you.

What can you try?

-You can try reading any religious literatures. It will give you positivity and a different perspective to look at your life

-Try engaging in ‘in-house’ hobbies you always wanted to do or thought about doing. It will keep you involved.

-Get in touch with your old friends over social media or a call ,whom you could not connect with in long time

-Think of some alternate sources of income or a passive source of income to meet your expenses. This will help you even after getting a job

-Plan your expenses so that you can save more money in the future

-Try to interospect your inner-self ; it can help you bring wonderful changes in your life.

-Try meditation or yoga. It will give a lot of positivity.

-Stick to a schedule to have a better mental state.

-Don’t mess up your bio clock. It takes a little bit of an effort. But please try!

-Develop a sense of gratitude.

-Talk to your parents or siblings about how you feel

-Needless to say, search of a new job must go on.

-Keep your house neat and tidy

-Try changing the arrangements of your living space


Stay positive and DON’T LOSE HOPE’. There is always something better waiting for you.As it’s correctly said ‘This too shall pass’, it’s enough to make a happy man sad; and a sad man happy.

Remember that you are not the only one sailing in this boat.
